“Flight coordinator” is a title used for a flight dispatcher who does not exercise operational control over a flight. At airlines that operate under CFR 14 Part 121 regulations, the Captain of the flight and the dispatcher share in the responsibility for the conduct of a flight. Under CFR 14 Part 135 operating rules it is the Pilot in Command who is ultimately responsible for the safety and operation of the flight. Some third party companies also help with flight planning and handling for international flights. They have no operational control responsibility for the flight and only assist the Pilot in Command. Some companies who use flight coordinators are JetLinx, Jet Aviation, XO Jet and Universal Weather.
