    What Aircraft Cleaners Do:
    The Aircraft Cleaner performs timely cleaning and restocking of corporate or commercial aircraft

    How to Become an Aircraft Cleaner:
    Aircraft Cleaners are typically trained on the job. A valid drivers license is often required.

    Job Description:
    An Aircraft Cleaners is responsible for cleaning the interior of the aircraft and completing forms associated with work assignments according to established procedures.

    This is a Non-Exempt position.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Wipe down all surfaces of galleys and lavatories.
    • Remove all refuse from containers, ashtrays, seat pockets, and floors.
    • Wipe down all seat trays, remove debris from seats and arrange seat pocket items as required by the various airlines.
    • Operate machinery used in the cleaning process: trucks, vacuum cleaners, generators, and PTO hydraulics.
    • Handles wet garbage and gross volume stocking.
    • Perform cosmetic arrangement of seat belts, headrests, etc.
    • Replenish aircraft catering and toiletry supplies as required by airlines.
    • Fold and distribute blankets throughout aircraft.
    • Drive and position hydraulic lift truck as required.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous cleaning experience preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to organize time efficiently among a variety of duties.
    • Availability to work flexible hours including holidays, days, nights and weekends.

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently perform job functions in variable weather and environmental conditions. Ability to handle, mix and use compounds and solutions. Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl; move and position stands weighing up to 100 lbs; lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
